Department of Conservation Standard Youth Hut Ticket — Yellow

The Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) manages more than 950 huts in Aotearoa New Zealand. Huts come in all shapes and sizes and provide unique places to stay while exploring the backcountry.

Department of Conservation (DOC) standard youth hut tickets are used to pay for youth accommodation in our standard DOC huts throughout the New Zealand backcountry.

For standard huts, you will need to use one standard youth hut ticket (yellow ticket) per youth, per night.

Please fill out your details on the ticket and place the ticket in the honesty box provided at the hut. Please remember to fill out the hut intentions book with your details and intentions too.

DOC hut tickets now have an expiry dates.

At the point of sale please manually add an expiry date to the ticket. Tickets should be dated to the month and year e.g. a ticket purchased in September 2023 should have an expiry date of September 2024. This can be stamped or written onto the ticket in the date of expiry field.

Tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
